VANKKA is a Finnish manufacturer of metal roofing and facade systems. We roll-form, coat and finish steel in our own production facilities, engineering each profile for the loads, temperature range and service life demanded by Nordic construction — then delivering it to projects across Europe and North America.

VANKKA manufactures metal roofing and facade systems in Finland — rolling, cutting, folding and finishing coated steel in our own facility, and supplying it to projects across Europe and North America.

Finnish construction sets a demanding baseline. A roof here has to carry months of standing snow, release it safely, survive meltwater running under it in March, and hold its geometry through the full annual temperature swing. Every part of the detail — seam geometry, clip spacing, ventilation path, fastener specification — is decided by those conditions rather than by a catalogue.

That baseline is what we export. A system designed for a Finnish winter is not merely adequate on a milder site; it has margin. It is also why our technical conversations start with pitch, span and exposure rather than with colour.

We are a manufacturer, not a contractor and not a merchant. We do not install roofs, and we do not stand behind work we did not do. What we stand behind is what leaves our lines — and the documentation, drawings and technical support that let a competent installer put it on correctly.

How we work

Engineering before commerce

The specification comes first. If the profile a customer asks for is wrong for their pitch or span, we tell them before we quote it — even when the right answer is the cheaper one.

Made where it is designed

Engineering and production share a building. A drawing that cannot be rolled gets caught by the person who would have to roll it, not by a supplier three countries away.

Built for the worst season

Everything we make is designed against a Finnish winter. Products engineered for standing snow, meltwater and a hundred-degree annual swing behave well everywhere else.

Traceable, not approximate

Every delivery carries its production run and coil batch, so a matching sheet can be produced years later. Colour is a fact in our system, not a memory.

International reach

Manufactured in Finland. Distributed through a network.

One specification, six markets. VANKKA manufactures in Jyväskylä, Finland and sells through a distributor network in Canada, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Poland and South Africa. VANKKA owns no offices abroad; the distributors handle supply locally, and the steel is made on the same lines to the same tolerances wherever it lands.

Coil handling, roll-forming, coating inspection, cut-to-length and custom bending all happen under one roof, alongside the technical team that specifies the systems. Every profile leaving the line is measured against the same tolerances, whether it ships to a site an hour away or across the Atlantic.
