Overview
Steel gets cut on site and it gets scratched in transit. Neither is a problem if it is dealt with properly and both become one if it is dealt with using whatever is in the van.
Colour-matched touch-up in the exact coating batch where possible, edge sealer for cut ends, and cleaning products that will not attack the coating.
One instruction we repeat on every delivery: do not cut coated steel with an abrasive disc. The heat destroys the metallic coating either side of the cut and throws hot filings across the sheet, where they embed and rust. Use a nibbler, shears or a cold-cut saw.
